With even entire races of living breathing sentient beings utterly wiped out. Therefore much infrastructure and technological progress became highly limited to the upper class in the aftermath.

War did not end simply because of such unparalleled horror. Instead those engulfed with blood lust sought new ways to satiate their carvings. The art of summoning beings from another world has been long forbidden. However now in this new age of strife and technological entrancement. This old taboo is dying as the magically gifted seek to reclaim their rightful place over the abomination of technology.
